It has just launched its promised Remote Desktop app for Android and iOS earlier than the expected end of the month release. Last week, Microsoft made it known that it was planning to make available native apps on Android and iOS that would make it possible to control Windows machines from mobile devices via its Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) technology. It was also speculated that this app.

[Hands-On] Holo Text Clock Is An Attractive, Though Unoriginal, Widget And Daydream Ideal For Uncluttered Home Screens

By AndroidPress | OnThursday, October 17th, 2013 - No Comments »

Holo Text Clock claims to make you look at a time in a different way. It does, except it’s a way that’s largely identical to what’s already offered by QLOCKTWO. Biegert & Funk developed an entire line of clocks and watches that tell time using an eccentric arrangement of words where certain letters highlight to spell out the current time. The company even released an app in the Play Store that replicates this behavior by placing an identical widget on your home screen. Holo.

Nexus 5 “press images” suggest Telus will have the device, but we’re not so sure

By AndroidPress | OnThursday, October 17th, 2013 - No Comments »

The crew at Mobile Syrup have released images that they believe to be the Nexus 5 for Telus. While it definitely looks like the Nexus 5 from leaked shots that have been floating around, we’re still not convinced they’re the real deal. In looking through device images on the Telus website, there really aren’t any that look like these. Most phones feature a face-on view — which we see here — but nothing much beyond that. That makes us wonder why there is a shot of the device in.

October 28 May Be Thee Day For The Nexus 5 And Android 4.4

By AndroidPress | OnThursday, October 17th, 2013 - No Comments »

Well October 15 has come and gone and we still don’t have an official announcement for the Nexus 5 or Android 4.4.  However, October 16 brought forth a couple of rather interesting tweets courtesy of the Kit Kat Twitter Page.  The first tweet, which was accompanied by the above picture, stated “Everybody Dance Now!”  The second tweet, accompanied by the picture below, stated “Sometimes you have to look for the signs…” Now I don’t claim to be the code.

Play Store update could give new navigation, possible switch to card interface

By AndroidPress | OnThursday, October 17th, 2013 - No Comments »

No big surprise, but news that is long overdue. According to Android Police, the newest version of the Play Store will feature slide-out navigation, rather than the top-right menu housing everything. Much like we see with other Google apps, the Play Store will house navigation from the left, and settings in the top right three-dot menu. While no UI changes are noted, Android Police also says they are hearing the Play Store mobile site could switch to a card interface very soon. This all sounds.

Fido Will Be Adding The Moto X To Their Lineup Soon!

By AndroidPress | OnThursday, October 17th, 2013 - No Comments »

The Moto X is, in my opinion, one of the most unique devices so far in 2013.  Did it have the best processor in the world?  No.  Did it have the best screen in the world?  No.  Did it have the best construction in the world?  Maybe? But I’d probably still give that to HTC.  Does it have a innovative feature that changes the way we interact with our phones?  Yes! The Touchless Controls feature on the Moto X is unique and game changing.  While some have concerns about a phone that’s.
