Boost Mobile Warp 4G smartphone arrives for purchase

Boost Mobile has launched their latest smartphone. The handset is the Warp 4G and as the name would imply, it brings 4G LTE connectivity. Boost has the handset selling for $199.99 and with specs to include a 4.5-inch display, dual-core 1.2GHz processor and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Other goodies for the Warp 4G include an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera and 1 megapixel front-facing camera along with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, a 2070 mAh battery, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. The handset weighs in at 4.76 ounces and has measurements of 5.24 x 2.6 x 0.4 inches.

Specs aside, that $199.99 purchase price is contract free and Boost Mobile will have the Warp 4G available for use with the Android Monthly Unlimited or Android Daily Unlimited plans. The former is priced at $55 per month and the latter is priced at $3 per day. Both plans include the basics such as unlimited nationwide talk, text and data.

Those choosing the monthly option will also be eligible for shrinking payments. This means your monthly rate will begin at $55 per month and eventually drop to as low as $40 per month by making on-time payments. Specifically, users will see their monthly bill decrease by $5 for every 6 on-time payments.

Touching back on the unlimited data portion of those plans, users may want to know how the fine print reads. These include 2.5GB of high-speed data. Those going over that amount will see their speeds decrease to 3G (at 256Kbps or below) for the remainder of that particular billing cycle. Otherwise, looking back and we saw Boost Mobile announce and release a few handsets (including the LG Optimus F7 and Kyocera Hydro Edge) over the summer months.
