Galaxy Note 8.0

The Galaxy Note 8.0 is going to be unveiled at MWC this month and we already know almost everything there is to know about the device.  Just in case you forgot, here’s the spec sheet:

Code name: Kona

Official name: GALAXY Note 8.0 (3G, Wi-Fi)
Product codes: GT-N5100, GT-N5110

Camera 1.3 megapixel (FRONT)
RAM + Storage: 2GB (RAM) + 16/32GB (optional) + microSD (up to 32GB)

Although everything is basically laid out above, we do have one new piece of  information to report today.  The Note 8.0 will be coming in 3 variants, the GT-N5100 (Wi-Fi + 3G), GT-N5110 (Wi-Fi only), and GT-N5105 (Wi-Fi + 3G + LTE).  These variants will definitely help this device compete with its biggest competitor, the iPad Mini.  While I generally prefer to tether and pay a little less for the tablet, I’m sure there’s a lot of people who would want 3G/LTE Connectivity.

Pricing is still a bit of a mystery and I think we’re all really hoping for a lower price tag but at this point I’m not too sure that we’ll be getting that.  Stay tuned for more updates in the future.
