If you’re like me and never got around to spending money on a mobile office suit, then Quickoffice, at least the full version, was always out of reach. However, ever since Quickoffice was bought by Google, I always had some hope it would be integrated into Google services and made available free of charge.

Today, my dreams and those of a lot of people out there come true as Google has made the popular mobile office app free for everyone. Though Google Drive still packs office capabilities, Google is trying to attract people who haven’t made the jump to Google services and are fond of Quickoffice.

The app is already available in the Play Store and iOS App Store. With the free app installed you’ll be able to create .ZIP folders, create and edit documents, as well as open Google Drive documents, though they won’t be editable for now.

For those still unsure about downloading another mobile office suit, Google is offering 10GB extra Drive storage for two years for those who download the app before September 26th. You won’t see the added space instantly, but you’ll get it nonetheless.

So if you’re looking for a new mobile office suite and don’t want to lash out $15 you should definitely check out Quickoffice. You can catch the download through the link below or by scanning the QR code, and don’t forget to leave your feedback on the comment section.
