Google’s search app update is live and with it new additions to Google Now, with new cards and features at your disposal. If you use your smartphone on a daily basis, your search app, especially one like Google Now, can help you to get the answers you need even before you think of them.

Well Google has made another step in that direction with its new update of its search app. Google Now cards now allow you to request music from your music library, whether it is through Google Play Music or third party providers like Spotify or Pandora. The first time this feature is used it will ask you to save a preference for which music library (or app) to use.

With the new update Google Now will also remind you when you’re near a retail where Google Offers can be redeemed. If you have your location based services active this feature is sure to make your wallet a bit happier.

Last, but definitely not least, Google Now can now connect to your television, if it is on the same wireless network, and listen in on live programming to provide more information. So if you’re watching a documentary on wildlife, your phone will display all the information on said show. For now this feature is only available on the U.S, but will be sure to get it sometime in the future.

If you have an Android phone running Android 4.1 or higher head on to the Google Play Store or scan the QR code below.
