How to hide a folder on Android

If you have a folder you do not want to appear on your Android phone so that no application or person can see hide. For example, if you have images you do not want to appear in the main gallery, you can hide the folder that has. Since Android runs on a Linux kernel, you can use the Linux method to hide folders. But before doing so, you will need to install an application file management that lets you view and change the name of the folders.

  1. Click the icon “Market” on your Android phone and find and install an application file management. There are many options free available including Astro File Manager, ES File Explorer and Adao File Manager. They work the same way, so you want installed.
  2. Lower the notification bar when the application is finished installing and click the application icon file management. You will see a list of folders on your SD card.

  3. Click the folders to browse them and find the one you want to hide.
  4. Click on the folder you want to hide until a menu appears. Click “Rename” from the menu.
  5. Add a point before the name of the folder and click “OK”. For example, if the folder is called “Test”, call her. “Test” to hide it.
