T-Mobile announced a few new smartphones today. Earlier in the day we saw the release and pricing details for the Alcatel ONE TOUCH Evolve and Fierce and now we have word of a Samsung device. This latest is the Samsung Galaxy Light, and similar to the Alcatel handsets, this one appears to be heading to the budget lineup. The catch is, T-Mobile has yet to reveal the pricing.

In addition to the lack of pricing details, the carrier has yet to reveal a specific release date. That said, we can share some specs. The Galaxy Light sports a 4-inch WVGA display and is powered by a quad-core 1.4GHz processor with 1GB of RAM. Other specs include a VGA front-facing camera and 5 megapixel rear-facing camera with auto-focus and LED flash as well as a microSD card slot and 8GB of internal storage.

Of course, the basics will also be included. Those round out as WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, 1800 mAh battery and connectivity on the T-Mobile 4G network. Lastly, the Galaxy Light will be running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with the usual array of T-Mobile specific features including WiFi Calling.

Otherwise, while this last bit isn’t Android specific, there was word of a new mobile hotspot coming to T-Mobile. The carrier announced the Samsung LTE Mobile HotSpot PRO which will be available beginning today. This hotspot will offer connectivity for up to 10 devices using the 4G LTE network and sits priced at $49.99 down with 24 monthly payments of $5.
