Sony Xperia Z Ultra screenshots confirm massive 6.4-inch display

Today we’re getting more details and information about the upcoming smartphone and tablet hybrid from Sony. The Xperia Z Ultra (codenamed Togari) has leaked again in a slew of screenshots, which reveal all the details, screen size, resolution and more about this phablet. We’ve also seen this device called the Xperia ZU, but we’ll have to wait until Sony announces it next month.

While we wait for the official unveiling next month, we’ll continue to look for more details on this impressive looking smartphone. Being rumored as a 6.44-inch device, clearly I’m fine with calling this a phablet. The screenshots that leaked today state 6.21-inches, but that’s likely due to the on-screen navigation keys with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean taking up some screen real-estate.

Then as the rumors suggested, the screenshot also confirm the Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor on board, which is extremely impressive based on our hands-on time with it. It looks like we’ll be working with a 2.1 GHz quad-core processor here, a 1920 x 1080p full HD display, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, 16GB of storage, and more.

One of the screenshots also shows what appears to be a pop-up tab on the bottom left of the display. Possibly suggesting Sony will be delivering a multi-window mode like we’ve seen lately from Samsung. Something that would be quite nice to use on a huge 6.44-inch display.

Stand-by for more details as Sony will be announcing this device early next month.
