SwiftKey Layouts For Living

I’m always on the hunt for the next best keyboard.  For the last couple of years I have been primarily switching back and forth between Swype and SwiftKey.  I’d throw on a new keyboard here and there but those two have generally been my go to’s.  I’ve primarily been using Swype as of late but I think this new SwitftKey Beta keyboard may remain for the foreseeable future.

SwiftKey has always been praised for its accuracy and predictive text but as a “Swyper,” rather than a “Typer,” I opted for Swype.  When SwiftKey Flow came about I gave that a go for a while but again ended up switching back to Swype.  However, the new SwiftKey Beta brings something to the table that Swype doesn’t, something that could keep me on this keyboard long term.

The new SwiftKey Beta adds the ability to adjust the keyboard size and placement to whatever you deem best  Let’s say you’re using a phablet and want to be able to Flow with one hand.  Well you can shift the keyboard to either side and then choose from five different sizes, one of which should give you the ability to reach all the letters.  You can also un-dock the keyboard and move it around and split the keyboard up to optimize the keyboard for thumb typers.

The new Beta keyboard also works on all devices.  Previously SwiftKey had separate keyboard apps for tablets and phones but the new app is one app to rule them all.  If you want to give the app a go, hit the link below to download it the Beta.
