The Next Generation Of Galaxy Tabs Could Be Very Affordable

It’s no secret that Samsung will be coming out with some new tablets this year.  The Galaxy Note 8.0 was confirmed by the Samsung head this week and it’s basically a given that there will be a Galaxy Tab 3 7″ and 10.1″.  I really don’t expect anything revolutionary at all, especially with the latter two.  It’ll likely be your normal yearly upgrades to the processor, RAM, software, etc.

One thing that is likely to change with the new generation of devices is the price.  According to DigiTimes, the 7″ Tab is going to be priced between$149-$199, the price dependant on the storage capacity.  This would help Samsung compete with all the other budget 7″ tablets that are coming to market.  The more interesting pricing leak is for the Galaxy Note 8.0.  That device is expected to come with a price tag between $249-$299.  This undercuts the iPad mini in terms of pricing, the device that this is likely to go head to head with.

If these prices hold to be true I’d be very impressed.  Of course we’re not positive as to what kind of hardware will go into these devices but I imagine that at least the Note 8.0 is going to be a top notch device and at under $300 that’s a great deal in my opinion.  It’s definitely more competitively priced that it’s 10″ sibling!
