The Sony Yuga (C660X) is no stranger to rumors. Just the other day I reported on some fabulous specs that were leaked which claim that the Yuga will be outfitted with a 5 inch screen, an Exynos quad-core processor, 3GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. If you’re not drooling after reading those specs, then their must be something wrong with you!

Of course, promising specs alone do not make a successful smartphone, especially in this day and age. One of the biggest determining factors in a smartphone is the battery life. If a phone cannot make it through at least a full days charge, then you can expect it won’t meet with success.

Well, it looks like one version of the Yuga made its way through the FCC, and with it came a bunch of internal documents that were leaked. Unfortunately, some of the information included in the documents squashes one of those pretty dashing specs.

The Yuga was rumored to include a whopping 3,000 mAh battery but according to the filings that information looks to be way off. Instead, the Yuga is actually outfitted with a 2,330 mAh battery. Even though, the new size is a bit larger than the impressive HTC Droid DNA’s battery, it’s still disheartening news.

Yuga Battery Specs Revealed

Luckily, the rest of the specs are safe for now. The FCC documents don’t reveal anything else, besides what we all could have guessed anyways. The reports indicate that the Yuga will include GSM, W-CDMA, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi technologies (that’s a given), 4G LTE functionality and NFC compatibility, which means that it also has an NFC chip.

Other than that information, everything else is up in the air. I guess the good news here is that this document didn’t totally destroy our dreams. The 128GB and Exynos toting Yuga could still exist out there somewhere.

It’s even possible that Sony is gearing up to reveal the device at CES 2013. If that’s the case, there won’t be much longer to wait the actual specs are verified. If anything, cross your fingers for the 128GB of internal storage, because that would be awesome!
